Work closely with the Director and Associate Director of the Leadership and Excellence in Academic Development (LEAD) Division to plan, support, implement and evaluate the SGU’s faculty development initiatives in all areas of course and instructional development for the Schools of Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, Arts and Sciences and Graduate Studies
Coordinate the Certificates in University Teaching Program
Coordinate Facilitator training and observations
Consult with individual faculty and groups (I.e. departments, or other groups of faculty, such as in the Design Academy, Clinical Tutor Intensive) across a variety of disciplines and across all ranks on pedagogy (such as teaching strategies, course design, leading project teams, scholarship (all stages of scholarship) and professional development
Assist schools, chairs, course directors, faculty and administration with accreditation compliance as related to instruction and evaluation of teaching and student success
Contribute to the development of policy on matters affecting teaching and learning in consultation with the Director and Associate Director, LEAD
Coordinate the twice yearly New Faculty Orientation
Contribute to educational research related to LEAD work and projects as determined by the Director and Associate Director, LEAD
Work on special projects and tasks in collaboration with, and at the request of the Director of LEAD and the Chair of DES
Coordinate Visiting Professor visits
Provide coordination support for the Master of Education (MEd) program and maintain the Sakai sites and teach up to one course per team as needed
Support research projects across LEAD and in the MEd program
