Professional association of paediatricians

The BVKJ is the professional interest group for paediatricians in Germany. With around 12,000 members from practices, clinics and the public health system, we are actively committed to providing the best possible health care for children and adolescents. Gesunde Kinder sind unsere Zukunft. Healthy children are our future. Through our work, we improve the organizational, legal and economic framework conditions for doctors within and outside of our association. We are the point of contact for politics and the media in all matters relating to child and youth health. In public debates, we act as advocates for children and young people , defend the in the children's rights UN Convention on the laid down Rights of the Child and, in particular, the right of every child to physical and mental integrity . We organize professional exchange and further training in regional and nationwide congresses and thus ensure that the latest research results and treatment methods are immediately applied in medical practice.
