We live the idea of ​​sustainable agriculture in harmony with nature with conviction. The "Belted Galloway" cattle are perfect for our extensive form of cattle farming. It is very frugal and has a calm character, which is important for keeping without ties or grazing. We know every animal in our herd by name and know the character traits of each individual. We pay attention to a species-appropriate attitude: Our animals live about seven months on the local pastures, the rest of the time they spend in the "open stable" directly at the farm with exit. In summer our cattle feed almost exclusively on pasture grass. We produce the fed hay and the silage (from grass) ourselves on our fields, as well as the straw from our grain, which serves as bedding. It is important to us that we can take care of the animals independently as far as possible with the means available to us (fields, machines, personnel). We get support with the harvest work from the machine ring.
